Why We Exist
Celebrate Fatness
Fat people exist and will always exist. We want all fat people to embrace the joy, love and pride of living an authentically fat life.
Take Up Space
Fat people are told to shrink in a world that isn’t built for them. We are reclaiming the word “fat” to embrace it as a powerful unapologetic identity and to take up deserved space.
Build Community
Fat people survive by denying their fatness, often distancing themselves from other fat people. We’re focused on creating connections in a disconnected community.
The Fat Narrative Project
This storytelling event is for fat people to have a platform, to take up all of the space, and most importantly to be celebrated. While this event is centered around fat people, The Fat Narrative Project encourages fat allies of all sizes to come and show support.
